Luxurious Lashes

Fake eyelashes aren't everyones cup of tea, some people find them very hard to apply, frustrating and just unnecessary. I however am not one of those people, and I know there's also a lot more people who love them just as much and more than I do. I don't wear fake eyelashes everyday, however for a special occasion, date night or an important event they really add glamour to a look.

I do believe when buying fake lashes there are qualities I look for to enable myself to enjoy them and feel confident and comfortable wearing them. This would include how easy the lashes are to apply, the quality of the lash (what they are made of), how many uses I can get out of them, how they compliment my eyes and that they are cruelty free!
I can honestly say I am so lucky to have found this stunning brand called Pink River London who sells the lashes that are my holy grail, (and not to mention that they come with gorgeous packaging and classy clear box to store your lashes in) and I wanted to share that with you. Every single pair of their lashes are extremely affordable (from £5.99), of high quality, easy to apply, easy to wear, cruelty free and you're able to use multiple times. They are basically every quality you look for in a pair of fake lashes and they have a pair of lashes to suit every lash lover!
My personal favourites are the Mink lashes, specifically the 'Angel' lashes, as they are lightweight and fluttery on the eyes, that give me a very feminine look that can be worn day or night. You can see me wearing and raving about them on my Instagram!
I truly love this brand and they have been kind enough to provide me with a discount code for people who read my blog and follow my social media to go and buy yourself a pair or however many pairs you want with 15% off using the code 'Daniemac'

I hope you enjoy and love these lashes as much as I do and thank you once again to Pink River London for providing the discount code for my readers and social media followers, I really appreciate it.
I hope you enjoyed this post and enjoy your new lashes, please send me and Pink River London your pictures, we'd love to see them!

Head Over Heels | Ego

I am head over heels in love with these shoes... In fact I'm obsessed!

I have been in love with Ego.co.uk for over a year now, after falling in love with a pair of shoes on Louise Thompson's Instagram (from made in Chelsea).

Their shoes are incredible, gorgeous and of extremely good quality and are also so affordable. Ego also partners with UNiDays on a regular basis giving discounts to all students with a UniDays ID so always keep your eyes peeled.

Despite loving all of their shoes I have particularly fallen in love with one pair...

These shoes are incredibly comfortable to wear for a long period of time and have worn them out for dinner and on multiple nights out, and it's because of their thick heel and platform on the shoe. Not to mention these shoes are so incredibly gorgeous with their rose embroidery on the heel and black suede material and were completely different to everything else I own.

Unfortunately Ego don't sell this exact shoe anymore, but do sell extremely similar ones here: https://ego.co.uk/taya-red-floral-platform-heel-in-black-faux-suede.html

If you do buy a pair I really hope you fall in love with them as much as I have. Please go and check out Ego as they are an incredible brand and so affordable.

I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for your continued support in reading my blog!

Hello Youtube | My First Video

Yes you read correctly...I have started my own YouTube Channel 'Danie Mac' and uploaded my first YouTube Video! I'm quite excited about it...

My Youtube Channel is going to be a place for me to just be myself and enjoy making videos about the things that I love, enjoy and feel passionate about and share that with people and if return people enjoy watching my videos then that's just a bonus for me.

I don't want to go into too much depth about why I started Youtube, but I have wanted to do this for an extremely long time and contemplated pursuing it, I just never did... until now.

The main basis of my channel is going to be Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle (I would also say baking or cooking...but I'm hopeless at doing either.) I want to create it to be a comfortable and cozy space for people to come and watch my videos and relax and maybe even learn a few tips or tricks from what I've learned about or taught myself that I can share to benefit other people. Even if it's as simple as 'how to do winged liquid eyeliner.'

For my first video I decided to do a '50 Facts About Me' tag, just allowing all of you and whoever is watching to get to know me a bit better before wanting to watch any of my future videos, because my content isn't going to be everybody's cup of tea, I'm sure. I did also learn a lot of things about myself when planning out my video and filming it. So I got to know myself a bit better too.

So I hope you enjoy the video and i'm really excited about what the future holds for both my blog and my YouTube Channel and thank you for your support in reading my blog and watching my video, I really appreciate it.

Go and check it out HERE!

Rocking Rimmel | Kate 15 Year Collection

I'm a major fan of Rimmel Lipsticks as it is, but when I used these gorgeous lipsticks from Kate Moss's 15 year range of iconic nude and red lipsticks to celebrate 15 years of Rimmel, I was completely stunned that their lipsticks could be of even higher quality than their other formulas.

Let's first talk about the packaging...
The range comes in the most gorgeous gold/rose gold casing and is one of those lipsticks that you want sitting on your dressing table or desk or even getting it out of you handbag to reapply your lipstick when you're out and about (don't lie...we all know all lipstick lovers do this, especially if you're one of them!)

The actual formula of the lipsticks are extremely creamy, however are closer to a satin finish than a lip balm finish. Despite the lipsticks being extremely moisturising they don't bleed into the fine lines around my mouth, which is a miracle! If you don't know what I mean by 'bleeding' it's when your lipstick smudges and runs outside of your natural lip line.

The colours included in the range are: 'Rock 'n' Role Nude,' which is a pinky nude, 'Idol Red' which is a bright red with pink tones, 'My Nude' which is more of a peachy nude, 'Muse Red' which is a true red, 'Boho Nude' which is more of a brownish nude and 'Retro Red' which is a dark berry red.

From the collection I picked up 'Muse Red,' 'Boho Nude' and 'Retro Red.' I have swatched them
to show you the true colouring of the lipsticks and how beautiful they actually are.

My personal favourite lipstick from the collection is 'Retro Red.' It is perfect for this autumnal time of year and even throughout winter and it just looks so so beautiful on.

You can go and buy from the collection from any Superdrug, Boots, Asda, Tesco or online at Asos or Feel Unique.

I hope you enjoyed this post, please leave me a comment or share if you enjoyed and let me know what lipsticks you're loving at the moment.

Natural Glam

I've never been a person who felt afraid to be 'glam' and go very over the top with my makeup and never believed in 'less is more' for myself personally. However, after browsing YouTube and talking to a few of my friends, I realised a lot of people are more afraid to be 'glam' than I first thought. Therefore, I came up with a step by step 'Natural Glam' look to hopefully help anyone who is reading my blog that is in the same position to refer to and see that 'glam' doesn't have to mean heavy makeup.

  1. I first started with the 'Simple Skin Face Moisturising Cream' on a 'Real Techniques Expert Face Brush' and gently buffed that into the skin.
  2. I then went in with the same brush and applied the 'Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser' in the colour 'Terre Neuve' and buffed that into the skin. The reason I chose to use a tinted moisturiser rather than a foundation is because it provides less coverage and allows your natural skin to still show through including cute little freckles. This tinted moisturiser or any is perfect for dry skin also as it provides moisture for the skin as well and light coverage.
  3. Next using a 'MAC 266 Angled Brush' and 'MAC Wedge Individual Eyeshadow' I lightly filled in sparse parts of the brows, lightly giving them a fuller look and more angled shape without them looking 'drawn on.'
  4. Starting with eyes taking 'MAC' Soft Ochre Paint Pot' on my ring finger I gently applied it all over the lid. This is the key to long lasting eyeshadow.
  5. Next using my 'Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette' Im dusting the shade foxy all over the lid up to the brow bone as my base using a 'MAC 224 Tapered Blending Brush.'
  6. Then using the same brush taking the shade 'Pistol' I am taking a little bit of shadow each time and blending it into the crease and outer 1/4 of the lid in small circular motions, slowly building it up rather than going in straight away with a lot of shadow, thus giving it the more 'natural' smokey eye.
  7. The last step of eyeshadow using a 'MAC 217' I am pushing the shade 'Bootycall' over the inner 3/4 of the lid, leaving the darker colour in the crease and outer corner alone to keep the smokey effect.
  8. Taking 'Rimmel Glam'Eyes Professional Liquid liner I just followed the lash line and slightly winged out the liner slightly to give the eye a more glam and lifted effect.
  9. Lastly with the eyes I just coated the lashes with the 'MAC False Lashes' mascara starting from the root and wiggling it to the tip of the lashes, and also applying a light cote on the bottom lashes.
  10. Using a 'Real Techniques Orange Beauty Sponge' I took 'Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer' in the shade 'Vanilla' and applied it by dabbing it under the eyes with the sponge.
  11. The next step was just to set the whole face with powder and I did this with the 'Laura Mercier Translucent Powder' with a 'MAC 138 Tapered Face Brush.'
  12. Using the 'Bobbi Brown Face Blender Brush' I next applied 'Nars Blush' in the shade 'Orgasm' on the apples of the cheeks to give a healthy glow to the face. I chose not to apply highlighter as this was a natural look and the shimmer from the blush was already strong enough alone.
  13. Lastly to finish the whole look I just applied a light coat of 'Dior Addict Ultra Gloss' in the shade '267 So Real' giving an extremely natural flush and shine to the lips.

Within this look I thought I would also include a 'Natural Glam' hair style. It is extremely simple and easy to do, all you need to be able to do is french plait. If you struggle with that, the same as I used to and still do! Then leave me a comment down below and I could write a blog post on a simple french braid if that would help. For this look i simply parted the hair in the middle and french braided the hair each side securing it with clear elastics and pining the plaits to the back of the head, and next with a curling tong curling the rest of the hair into loose ringlet curls. It's that simple!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and this 'Natural Glam' look. Please leave me a comment and thank you for reading!
